PANEER TIKKA


Got this recipe from my friend Aswathy M Kutty of Love From Kitchen

PANEER TIKKA

Ingredients
  • 200g Paneer
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Onion
  • TO MARINADE:
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Chat masala
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Hung curd OR Sour cream
  • 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Few skewers 

 Cooking Directions
  1. Soak the skewer sticks in water to protect it from burning or turning black.
  2. Cut paneer into long 1\2" thick cubes.
  3. Cut all vegetables into cubes.
  4. To prepare hung curd, tie fresh curd in a muslin cloth tightly. Hang it till the water drains completely. Wait for 2 hrs at least for full draining.
  5. Mix all ingredients for marinade.
  6. Marinate the paneer blocks and vegetables with the marinade and refrigerate it for 1-2 hours.
  7. Arrange the paneer and the vegetables in the skewer.
  8. Preheat the oven at 230 degrees and bake it for 12 minutes or until the edges of the Paneer becomes brown.
  9. If you are making on the tawa heat the tawa spread few tbs of oil and shallow fry the tikkas with vegetables in the skewers.Turn on all sides and fry uniformly until required.
  10. After baking sprinkle chat masala powder and lime juice on top and serve with
  11. green chutney.
